To apply you need to:

  • be at least 18 years old.
  • be fluent and literate (able to speak, read and write) in English.
  • be knowledgeable and passionate about your subject area(s).
  • be a dedicated and committed professional. (Code of Ethics)
  • have read, understood and accepted Tutoring Match's Tutor Agreement.
  • create a Tutoring Match Tutor account.

Options for building your credibility:

  • a recent, relevant resume - email it to us and/or post it on your tutor profile
  • an interview with us ( in person, phone or Skype - call 571-485-2948 )
  • some form of identification (driver's license, passport, work visa, green card, SS# or other)
  • copy of your teaching certification and/or diploma(s) or tutor certification
  • copy of college transcripts
  • 1-2 written letters of recommendation vouching to your effectiveness as a tutor
  • 2-3 references with names, email, phone and their relationship to you
  • 2-3 testimonials from present or previous clients - (not related by birth or marriage)
  • if unemployed and/or non-certified professionals a FREE criminal background check may be requested
